Quick(est) and Easy(iest) Amazing Layered Dip!

In a hurry? Guests coming over? I got ya. Just throw this together. It's pretty, tastes great, and your guests will be blown away. It's basically a version of the good old Layered Dip ... but TIM STYLE!

Make your dip! I start with some Soyrizo (soy version of chorizo - yes, it's vegan!). You can of course use real chorizo. But I'm obsessed with the Soyrizo from Trader Joe's! Anyway, brown up your 'rizo (about a small pan full - maybe like a 1 1/2 cup) and cook until browned and crumbly. Set aside.

In a glass dish (I use a glass pie pan), layer as follows:

  1. Spread a 10 oz. container of store bought hummus

  2. On top of that, sprinkle two chopped up avocados

  3. Sprinkle with two tablespoons of fresh (or store bought if you must!) lime juice

  4. Sprinkle 2/3 of your 'rizo crumbles over this

  5. Cover with about a cup of pico de gallo

  6. Drizzle with about 1/2 cup of either sour cream (watered down with milk or water), or buy Mexican crema

  7. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro

  8. Sprinkle with your remaining 'rizo crumbles

You're all set! Serve with chips. You can also make in advance, and cover with plastic wrap and hide in the fridge until ready!

Enjoy!
